Questions founders ask
Is this AI? Who decides the grade?
No AI decides anything. Grades, chances and the order of your list come from deterministic, versioned code (scoring config v1.1.0). The same answers on the same day always produce exactly the same ranking.
How is a grade worked out?
Each funder gets a fit score from 9 weighted factors that add up to 100: investor tier, whether they invest in your country, sector thesis, stage overlap, whether they take cold applications, cheque size versus your raise, young-founder friendliness, deadline urgency and consumer fit. Low-confidence data is pulled toward the middle, a small published boost is added for top-tier programmes, and hard caps apply for disqualifiers. The score maps to one of 11 bond-style notches, AAA+ down to C-.
“In the next 180 days you could get funded by…” — is that a promise?
No. It is a ranked list of the funders whose applications are open or rolling and whose process could realistically finish within about six months, ordered from most to least likely for your company. The chance shown is an estimate from public acceptance rates and your answers. Every investor makes its own decision.
Is the grade my chance of getting funded?
No, they are separate on purpose. The grade is fit and priority. The chance of funding is a range built from public acceptance base rates for that type of funder, adjusted by your profile and capped so it never overpromises. A top programme can be AAA+ (apply first) with a 3–4% chance.
What happens when a deadline passes or a programme closes?
It is capped, its chance shows as “—” and it moves to Not funding until a new date is published. Records that share one application, like a fund and its pre-seed programme, are merged into one ranked row so you never apply twice by mistake.
Where does the funder data come from?
A curated list of 476 VC funds and accelerators, enriched only from public sources with a source URL for every field. Each record carries a confidence level. Unknown fields are shown as unknown, never guessed. We never collect people's personal contact details.
Can my co-founders and team use it too?
Yes. Invite teammates by Gmail or any email address from People & access, and remove them at any time. Your board, priorities and conversations are saved to your workspace, so they look the same after a refresh, a sign-out or on another device.
Do you apply or contact funders for me?
No. Funding Calendar ranks, plans and reminds; you submit. Every deadline can go on your Google Calendar, Notion Calendar or any calendar that reads an .ics feed.
